JEE Paper-II B.Arch

The National Testing Agency has released the official syllabus of JEE Main Paper 2 Syllabus 2020. This year, the authorities have added a new section of the scheme for B.Plan candidates. Candidates who have applied for B.Planning will have to try the planning section instead of the drawing section. The JEE Main Paper 2 will be conducted in online mode for admission to undergraduate architecture courses. Before starting their preparation for JEE Main 2020 Paper 2, candidates are advised to check the syllabus of Paper 2 to plan their preparation. The JEE Main Architecture Examination will basically consist of three sections – Mathematics, General Aptitude, Drawing Skills, while the B.Planning paper will cover Mathematics, General Aptitude and Planning. JEE Main 2020 will be conducted twice a year in online mode – January and April. The result of JEE Main 2020 for the January session will be announced on 31 January.

JEE Main Paper 2 Syllabus 2020

Part IAwareness of persons, places, buildings, materials. Objects, texture-related texture and the build-environment. Imagining three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawing. Visualizing. Different sides of three-dimensional objects. Analytical reasoning mental ability (visual, numerical and verbal).
Part IIThree Dimensional – Perception: The scale and proportion of objects, color textures, harmony and vice versa, understanding and appreciation of construction forms and elements. Design and drawing of geometric or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil. Transformation of 2D and 3D union forms, rotation subtraction, development of surfaces and versions, elevation of plan and 3D views of objects. Creating two-dimensional and three-dimensional compositions using the given shapes and forms.
Sketching of scenes and activities from Urbanscape (monuments, public spaces, festivals, markets, street scenes, recreational spaces, etc.), landscapes (river fronts, forests, trees, plants, etc.) and the memory of rural life.
Part III (Planning)(Planning) General awareness about development issues, government programs / schemes etc., comprehension, critical thinking and analytical skills, graphs, charts and map reading skills, simple statistics, CBSE Class X social science subject.

Note: For Aptitude Test, candidates have to bring their own geometry box, pencil, eraser, color pencil and crayon.
