Bachelor of Design

CEPT University, since its inception in 1962, has been known for setting benchmarks in building design. It is recognized globally for its major architectural design education. However, as the world moves towards standardizing building products and practices to facilitate optimization of resources and manpower; Building methods are still unable to manage them. There is a definite lack of construction solutions in India.

The purpose of this cross disciplinary course is to integrate building solutions with emerging technologies. The products and systems imported today are unsuitable for the Indian context. The use of appropriate technologies and descriptions can elevate our manufacturing practices globally and provide us with indigenous solutions that are cost-effective and easily available to us in the way we live.

CEPT University has both the infrastructure and expertise to take a step in this direction. A multitude of workshops and an extensive library are among the best in the country to help students translate their ideas into realistic prototypes. Its laboratories have a high degree of technical research and invention that allows students to think beyond the ordinary.
